Through the years of exploring Alaska, George and Jill have been guiding sportsmen, scientists, researchers, and photographers. In all of our travels we decided that besides sharing our adventures with the limited number of people that could join us in person we could film our adventures and make them available to the public. We want to show you what REAL life in the Alaska Bush involves. We want to share our adventures with you and also our recipes for Alaskan Style Cooking. We will be setting up a camp in the wilderness, picking berries, and making jam. We will be flying flies, fishing for Salmon, and then smoking and jarring salmon. These are just a few of the activities we have planned for this season.

Alaska Wild Adventures Season 1
True Life Living in the Alaska Bush with George and Jill Davis, dogs Winchester and Kaliakh
Season one starts in Icy Bay, Alaska. During the summer the Davis’ go on adventures including Fishing out on the Gulf of Alaska. They take a research group up Icy Bay and study Glaciers and Geology of Mt. St. Elias. The Davis’ Study and research the Flora and Fauna of the area and study the History of Icy Bay and Yahtse and Yana River Systems. During the summer George and Jill pick berries and make Strawberry, Nagoon, and Salmon Berry jam. They go cut huge rounds of firewood for the winter, and collect Glacier Ice.
Besides studying history, plants, and geology, George and Jill are avid bird watchers and study shorebird migration and have been a part of an ongoing Kitzlets Murrlet study going on in Icy Bay. Besides birds, George and Jill love to watch sea mammals such as Whales and Seals. They also watch and study bears, moose and wolves. The Davis’ love to learn about wildlife and their natural habitat. George and Jill are avid wildlife protection advocates.
George and Jill mostly live off of the berries they gather, fish that they catch, crab from crab pots they set, and meat that they hunt. Even though Icy Bay is a great place, after spending 6 years there they were ready for new adventures. They got an opportunity to go to Kodiak, Alaska and jumped on it. The Davis’ packed up and headed out for a new adventure. You can watch George and Jill build a cabin, fish, hunt, and get ready for a cold winter in Kodiak. They even do a rescue on Thanksgiving Day.
