Jill moved to Alaska when she was 7 years old. She grew up in a commercial fishing town in Prince William Sound, Alaska. She grew up loving the outdoors, and got in to commercial fishing when she was a teenager. Jill had 2 passions when she was growing up, fishing and flying airplanes. When she met George they had a lot in common. They both loved the outdoors, loved to fish, and George is a high time bush pilot with his own plane. Besides teaching Jill advanced fly fishing she learned a lot about bush flying techniques getting to fly around with George. Jill got in to fly tying and started using color variations with the Davis Spanker. She invented her own dry fly, the Ice Cream Cone. Over the last 12 years she and George have pioneered the coastline of Alaska affectionately known as “The Lost Coast”. In their quest for the most remote and extreme fly fishing destinations the Davis’ have discovered the best places to fish for all species of fish fresh and salt water.
Jill truly lives the bush lifestyle, fishing for food, hunting for meat, and picking berries. Jill puts up cases of jarred fish, berry jams, preserves, and makes smoked salmon and deer jerky. Her and George are a team in the wilderness.
Jill helped build 3 fishing lodges on the coast. Jill loves to fish, but her true love is photography. Jill likes to guide people that want to see the true beauty of Alaska. She loves to go on adventures with George, and her two dogs Winchester and Kaliakh. She looks forward to sharing her adventures with you!
