Today we are going to go meet the mail plane to send our mail out and receive supplies. The plane is on skis due to all of the snow. The air taxi flies all winter here. They fly from Yakutat to Icy Bay. From Icy Bay to Cape Yakutaga and then they turn around and fly back to Yakutat. It is a real convenience that they do a mail run, so that we are able to get mail and supplies brought out to us all winter.

On the way to the runway this is what we have to drive across. All of this Ice has washed up and frozen up in Icy Bay.
